Twelve Days of Christmas

Day 6

Gift tags with a little merry and bright added to them.  Of course I found the snowmen tea lights on Pintrest they are all over the place.  Such a fun way to dress up an simple little item. 

I've made several for the top of little gifts for the office folks.  The snowman ornaments are lightly attached to the tag so it can be removed to hang on the tree.

End of the school year

School's Out!

We made it to the end of the year.  As school years go, this one was great.  I had some wonderful volunteers who really helped make things run smoothly in the library.  I am so appreciative of all the hours they devoted to our students.  I did put together some appreciation gifts to send them off on summer vacation.  

 The tags read:  "I'm soda-lighted to have you as a volunteer this year" and the one for my aide said, "I'm soda-lighted to be together again".  I found the swirl suckers on line and the candy sticks at the local party supply store.  They each got a gift card to a local restaurant which is in the pocket on the back of the tag.  They all seemed to love their gifts.

I've been on a bit of a break from my blog but, I hope to be back in the swing now that school is out and I can regroup a bit.  So thanks for stopping by and I'll talk to you again soon.

October Birthday

It's time for another birthday for my friend who loves purple.  This year I found a simple chip-wood box and painted it with a lovely purple metallic paint. (One of my new favorites!) drilled a hole in the middle of the lid and added the over-sized matching silk flower.  Then I filled if with lots of sparkly goodies for her to enjoy on her birthday.  I added a multiple layered tag with a special message just for her.

I found this bin of cool keys at Micheal's and purchased one to add a simple decoupaged message on the side. She can hang it on her Christmas tree or next to her bed to remind her that she hold's the key to her dreams.

Glittery snowy gift tags

This post is Day 7 

in my personal challenge to do something creative every day.

More tags for the gift set I'm working on.  Can't wait for you to see it all put together.  But, until then, this is another small part of the set.  We're back to school tomorrow there has finally been some melting of the snow and roads are clear enough for the buses and student drivers to make it to the various campuses around the city.  It's been a great and unexpected break and a nice jump start to my creative challenge.
